With so many Aussies spending long hours at work, it doesn’t leave much time for us to squeeze some form of exercise into our day. Going to the gym or running before and after work makes our days even longer, which is why fostering a culture of corporate wellness is such a good idea.

Disgruntled employees who can’t wait to leave at the end of the day and resent every minute they are at work are usually candidates for low productivity.   4. Better health

    A workplace program that promotes a healthy lifestyle can go a long way to improving the health of employees and by extension, their families. Not falling sick with every cold that comes along is also a great boon to employees, because no-one wants to feel ill, so a workplace wellness program benefits everyone.

  5. Foster teamwork

    People who exercise together and have similar motivations and goals can make very good team mates, so a wellness program can actually foster and improve teamwork within a company. After all, exercising together creates new friendships with people they may never have met at the workplace, and new interests are established, goals are shared and friendships begun. All this increased social engagement that is centred around the shared goals of wellness and a heathy lifestyle can easily transfer into new collaborate endeavours that otherwise might not have seen the light of day.
